4P's Workshop Inilunsad

4PsMatagumpay na idinaos ang isang orientation/workshop tungkol sa Implementing Rules and Regulation (IRR) ng Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4P's) para sa Municipal Advisory committee (MAC) at Municipal Action Team (MAT) sa bayan ng Samal na ginanap sa Casa Generosa Function Hall noong ika-16 hanggang ika-18 ng Enero 2013.

Tree Planting Held for A Cleaner Samal

Tree Planting 10-31-2012President Aquino issued Executive Order #26 ordering and declaring the implementation of a National Greening Program as a government priority. It aims to plant 1.5 billion trees in 1.5 hectares of public and from 2011 to 2016. In line with this, a tree-planting activity was done last October 31, 2012 wherein employees of the Municipal Office of Samal planted a total of 1300 trees in three areas in the municipality. More than just planting trees, the program seeks to pursue sustainable development for poverty reduction, food security, livelihood development, biodiversity conservation, and climate change mitigation and adaption.

Samal Celebrates its Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

Christmas Tree Lighting 12-14-2012The town plaza of Samal, Bataan lit up with Christmas cheer last December 14, 2012 with the lighting of the decors that adorned the town square. No other than the Liwanag ng Samal, Mayor Gene Malibiran-Dela Fuente led the lighting of the décor that took three weeks to complete. The crowd of more than 600 spectators were welcomed with warm Christmas messages from Hon. Aida Macalinao, Hon. Junjun Lazarte, Hon. Ric Santos, and Hon. Rodolfo Garcia.

Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program Beneficiaries Meeting Held at Samal Covered Court

PPPP 10-01-2012Mayor Gene Malibiran – Dela Fuente and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) assembled the 775 beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program on October 1-2 and November 5 in the Samal Plaza Covered Court. The Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program is a human development program of the national government that invests in the health and education of poor households, particularly of children aged 0-14 years old.

Patterned after the conditional cash transfer scheme implemented in other developing countries, the Pantawid Pamilya provides cash grants to beneficiaries provided that they comply with the set of conditions required by the program.
